On Friday afternoon, Wofford freshman pitcher Adam Scott threw a complete game shutout over Furman in the 2015 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament presented by Mountain Shore Properties at Riley Park. Derek Hirsch drove in the lone run for Wofford in the second inning as the Terriers won 1-0 to reach the semifinals for the second straight season.

Wofford is 38-21 overall, while Furman is 25-33 this season. The Terriers were limited to only six hits in the game, with two by Max McDougald. Adam Scott held Furman to four hits and had nine strikeouts. Wofford will play Samford on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., while Furman was eliminated from the tournament.

"I couldn't have handled another one of those today." said head coach Todd Interdonato. "Everybody here knows what's going on. We were just hoping to get the leadoff guy out in the ninth to settle Adam down. Those guys fight, scratch, and claw. Thankfully we were able to make one more pitch this afternoon than we did this morning. We'll celebrate this one until we get on the bus and then we'll start worrying about Samford again."
