Description: The 2019 LA32 Kite Festival Flies High in Ascot Park! The 9th Annual Kite Festival was a resounding success with “perfect” conditions Sunday, drawing hundreds of spectators and kite flyers from around Los Angeles. Organized by LA32 it went off without a hitch. Despite early forecasts of possible rain, the day was overcast and windy — although a little on the cool side. Close to 200 children participated, although they flew their kites at differing times. LA32’s Anthony Manzano was happy to report that the kites worked really well and flew "high-in-the-sky!" This was ideal conditions for a kite festival. Starting at 10:00 a.m., by 10:30 a.m. the wind was there for the smaller kites to get up in the sky, by 11:00 the bigger once began doing their ballet tricks and flips to the rhythm of the songs that were playing by DJ Eddie, from UNA Band. The kids and parents made the best of it. They were playing games and watching the live performances. The park was full of people walking, eating with their children, walking their dogs and flying kites. Everyone enjoyed the cool weather while the kite flyers searched for the perfect windy location.
