Description: Facing its most arduous test thus far, the Lincoln High football team responded with its most clutch performance yet. Trailing by 8 at halftime with its offense stumbling and its defense reeling, the Tigers turned in a dominant second half to defeat visitor Manual Arts, 30-28, at home Thursday in a key preseason matchup. “It shows a lot of character to be able to bounce back and come back and win a game like that,” said Lincoln Fan Carlos Ramero, whose team trailed, 14-6, at halftime and responded by outscoring Manual Arts, 24-14, in the second half. In the second half everything seemed to change in favor of the orange and black. “[The] guys hung in there, they kept battling, they kept battling. The fact that our guys never gave up, I think that says a lot about our team. I think that the way the team responded in the second half is something to build on.”
